Interior Painting: Color Trends for 2013
If you are considering painting your Southwest Florida home, then you are more than likely trying to come up with paint color ideas for your residential interior painting project. One of the best ways to brainstorm ideas is to look at the current interior color trends for 2013.
It appears as though many people are opting for “cool colors” for their 2013 painting projects. The question is will you go with one of these trendy painting themes when painting your Southwest Florida home or will you create your own? You decide!
Let’s look at some of the most popular color combinations to help with your paint color brainstorming efforts.
The Seaside Trend
The first trend we dubbed as “The Seaside Trend.” This trend consists of blues, whites, and greys. You may choose nautical decorations to accent a bedroom painted with this theme or you may opt for lighthouses, seahorses, or any other water-themed décor. This theme gives off a relaxing vibe due to the calming blue hues.
The Earthy Trend
Alternatively, you can opt for what we call “The Earthy Trend” with shades of brown, white, and dark grey. This trend is ideal for those with an artistic vibe and a love for nature. You can even throw in shades of green to add a splash of color. Decoration ideas can range from nature-related themes (i.e. wildlife) to regional themes (i.e. the Southwest).
The Bold Trend
If the seaside trend and earthy trends are not your style, then you can always go for “The Bold Trend,” which uses vibrant colors such as dark blues, pinks, reds, etc. and is great for new-age and artistic home décor.
At the end of the day, you can choose from one of these three popular color trends or you can create your own color theme when painting rooms within your Southwest Florida home.
