Selling Your Home? Make Sure to Paint and Pressure Clean Before You List
Selling a home is an exciting time. You get to put your home on the market and shop for a new home all at the same time. But sometimes, we don’t put our homes in the best position to sell because we neglect their condition and don’t address all the little details that help make a home sale a success.
One thing that can really help those who are selling their homes is to take the extra step and repaint your exterior – or at least go over the outside of your home. What you’re doing is checking for blemishes, peeling paint, bald spots, grime, mold or mildew, chipped paint, or other eyesores.
The condition of your home’s exterior matters a lot for your home’s curb appeal. It sometimes doesn’t even matter how beautiful the inside of your home is, because a bad exterior can drive away potential buyers before they even step foot into the inside.
Check the exterior before you list. A fresh coat of paint never hurts, especially if you need to change the color of your home to one that is more modern and appealing. We can go over the small details too, like doorways, window sills, and the like, to make sure your home looks fresh and inviting.
At a minimum, you should pressure clean your home before you list it, to remove dirt and grime that has accumulated.
