Putting the WOW Factor in Your Bathroom – with Mirrors | Southwest Florida Painting

Did you know that the bathroom is one of the most important rooms in the house? It’s true – survey after survey tells us that homeowners value how their bathroom looks over just about every other room other than the kitchen.

Many times homeowners are looking for a little WOW factor for their bathrooms. In the case of these two bathrooms, the homeowners had both the master and the guest bathrooms remodeled.  Once most of the remodeling was done, the homeowners then had Ron's Painting do a specialty texture done to the walls to give it an adobe look. We then painted both bathrooms.

We were also asked to paint the mirrors, which had wood frames. However, once we painted them we realized they just got lost in the wall paint.  We needed to come up with a WOW factor for these frames to compliment the rest of the new furnishings in the bathrooms.

We then faux finished the frames to a distressed wood effect. The frames in the guest bathroom were fauxed in colors to compliment the finishing in that room. With the master bathroom wood frames, we added a little red into the faux to compliment the furnishings in the master bathroom.

This is also a great idea for mirrors in a homeowner’s bathroom if they are starting to turn black around the mirrors. Rather than replacing the mirrors, you can add a wood frame around the mirror and either paint the wood frame or do a custom faux finish.
